For as long as humanity has walked the Earth, we've questioned where we come from. We've come up with stories. People have batted around the idea of "The Greatest Story Ever Told." Just like in a movie, the central players and candidates for this award have changed through history. For Christians, the story of Jesus is the greatest story. For Muslims, it's the story of Muhammad. For an adoring kid, its his or her parents. For a paleontologist, its dinosaurs. It's the story of the universe itself, for an astrophysicist.

It's true—the leading candidate for "The Greatest Story Ever Told" is often called Life itself. But what is Life? It's composed of so many moving parts. There's your own life, of course. You started as a seed, sprouting in your mother's womb. You were birthed brand new, then toddled, went to school, did the things adults do, and one day, you'll go back to the womb.
But I want to ask you something.
What if before that happened, you could go back to the very beginning of things.

I mean the very beginning. Whether you believe in God, or gods, or simple science, we all started from the same thing. We were created, then we underwent a Big Bang. We became the first star. We spread throughout the galaxies. We landed on Earth, and our DNA unraveled like rainbow strands of string cheese. We evolved from cells to fish to fins to feet and spread across the world, as hairy things. We ran with dinosaurs in massive stampedes. We found Paradise, filled with primates, one hot summer's eve. The most incredible thing is, until about 100,000 years ago, we all shared exactly the same history.
It's only then our paths diverged, and we took the greatest migration in history. Some of us stayed in Africa, some went to Australia and Oceania, some went to the Middle East, Europe, Asia, or crossed the Bering Strait all the way to the Americas. We revolutionized agriculture. We built great kingdoms and civilizations, formed new religions. There was Buddha, Shiva, Zoroaster, Jesus, Muhammad, and so many others. We journeyed on the Silk Road, built castles in the sand and fought dragons. We sailed with the pirates in the Age of Discovery, discovering New Worlds in every land.

The world spun through many revolutions. Eventually, we reached the age of our great-great grandparents. They fought "The War to End All wars" so we wouldn't have to fight them anymore. So did our grandparents. It seemed the world never learned its lesson. Our parents were born. They promised us a kingdom. And then we were born.

We were a seed that sprouted. We were birthed brand new, straight from our mother's womb. We were composed from all that came before us; our ancestors smiled down at us. We toddled, went to school, did the things adults do, and got ready to back to the womb.

There was one last great story to tell—the greatest story ever told. It was our own.

As a starry-eyed kid with a Dad who worked for Disney, I grew up in the City of Angels, in the worlds of event planning and soul-awakening global travel. I found my great love of story from a Mom who spent her days telling stories, whether on the stage, or giving award-winning speeches for the state of Kentucky, and came to LA when she was a young adult. What I found, growing up, is that I had several big dreams: to be a scientist, an artist, a teacher, an astronaut, a doctor, an athlete, a big-wig author, standing on the stage, giving a speech—but I discovered, standing on that stage, that my greatest love was helping others find their own story. (And give them incredible experiences they'd be talking about for the rest of their lives.) And in doing so, achieve the wildest dream I had, which humanity has been working toward since the dawn of history: achieve world peace, once and for all, by sharing the incredible stories that define us, and give every person the tools they need to live their richest, fullest, freedom-filled, joyful and laughter-filled life.

When hydrogen and helium came together, this created the first molecule—an irreversible helium-hydrogen bond, that would last throughout history, and define you entirely.
